Chris Basden is a country artist bridging the gap between today's sound and the nostalgic twang of the '90s. His music, which he describes as "songs for people who like modern country, but liked ‘90s country more," ranges from heartfelt ballads to high-energy anthems perfect for any bonfire. While drawing inspiration from a wide range of country influences, Chris's core lies in a deep appreciation for the genre's roots.

From an early age, music was Chris's calling. Instead of typical childhood pursuits, he gravitated towards the melodies he discovered on his grandmother's upright piano. Soon after, he began crafting his own lyrics and sharing his songs with anyone who would lend an ear.

Chris has honed his musical skills over thousands of hours performing as a sideman, band member, and solo artist. He's performed in support of major country artists like Michael Ray and Joe Nichols, and in 2023 was named the winner of the North Dakota State Fair's Hometown Sound Competition.
